40 Days

For Lent, I gave up vintage shopping for 40 DAYS! LOL Hopefully, I can make it! haha So far I have been doing well, but I have been having those sudden urges to shop through a lovely rack of vintage dresses `sigh I think I can manage, as long as I keep myself busy and keep my brain from thinking of vintage clothes & accessories, then I'm good until Easter :) So, I have been just shopping for either vintage inspired clothing & accessories or just shopping at my other favorite shops :) Here is a picture of one of my most recent purchases from Kanibal Home:

I love the zipper detail along the front & criss cross strap in the back. Purple is my favorite color and I am so excited to wear this dress! :) I think I'll probably wear it for my boyfriend's birthday coming in March or maybe another occasion, who knows? hehe*

Playing in the snow..

I was finally able to take photos of me wearing this lovely vintage seventies plaid coat I bought a month or two ago in the snow :) That day, my boyfriend kindly took photos of me wearing my simple outfit before I went out to run some errands. I think he'll be behind the camera from now on taking photos of my outfits hehe* Thanks honey! :)

1980s white leaf beaded sweater, Gap jeans, Brown Old Navy boots, H&M braided belt, gold butterfly earrings and orange vintage floral beaded ring

1970s Multi color hooded plaid coat with faux fur on collars and hood

Valentine's Day

Yesterday, I spent my Valentine's Day cooking & baking with my boyfriend. We had so much fun cooking dinner for each other, and both recipes were under 200 calories! hehe* A girl's gotta watch her figure and I'm happy both recipes came out great & tastey. Hope all of you lovely couples had a romantic Valentine's Day :)
This is our brownie batter for the cheesecake brownies we were baking while dinner was heating up in the oven. This brownie batter was made with pumpkin and none of that fatty stuff such as oil haha
I couldn't resist, so I had to take a quick taste :P
Our cheesecake topping for the brownies :)
Here is my brownie tray & design
and here is my boyfriend's! AHAH he wanted to smother it with that yummy frosting.
Our chicken tomato basil with onions ;P
I was cleaning up and when I finished, my sweet boyfriend already set up the dinner table with champagne glasses filled with ginger ale & apple juice. hehe close enough to champagne.
My boyfriend saying Cheers!
Cheers! from me to you
The result of my cheesecake brownies, delicious!
About to dive into the brownie! It was yummy in my tummy ;]
ahaha! Here is my boyfriend's finished product of the brownies, it's alive and tastey!
My sweets for my sweet & my Valentine's card for him <3
Inside of my card it said "thinking of you"
My boyfriend's valentine's present for me. Of course I was excited because I've never had lifesaver gummies, sour ones that is! haha I'm such a candy addict!
He drew this card for me, my Charlie Brown :)
So creative & sweet, I LOVE IT! Thanks honey!
HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!

It's more than an addiction..it's a lifestyle

I have been updating my other blog more than this one, but I've been so focused on updating my etsy on a daily basis. So I've decided to actually take the time to update my personal blog now :) Although I like keeping myself busy, I know I need to give myself some more "me" time to relax & clear my mind to gain back some of my sanity haha! I have been focused on my new year's resolutions and so far I have been doing really well sticking to my resolutions for 2010, which is a good thing. I believe if I list it for everyone to see, for some reason it usually doesn't get accomplished, so I think keeping it to myself is a good way to keep me motivated everyday.

Anyway, I went to the Manhattan Vintage Show on Friday and of course I did not leave empty handed. I went to all of my favorite booths and even purchased two dresses from one of my favorite local vintage stores, Another Man's Treasure, which I occasionally go to for most of my vintage purchases :) Here are all of the vintage treasures I got for myself, I can't wait to wear them when spring approaches :)
