My Vintage Shopping Tips Article

Here is one of my recent outfits from last week:
Vintage Outfit
  • 1980s Vintage One Piece Dress
  • Betsey Johnson Grey Stockings
  • Payless Black Patent Peep Toe Wedges
  • Tiny Chanel Stud Earrings
  • Vintage Multi loop necklace
  • Banana Republic Ring
I absolutely love the color of this vintage dress & it looks like it's separates when it's not. :)  Also, I feel taller in this dress since the bottom part is above my knee.  Let's just say I am quite petite if you meet me in person, so I guess it's good to be short since I get to wear heels/wedges.  Oh the perks of being short. :)

Latest news:  My friend Rodellee, owner of adorevintage.com, asked me to write an article on my top 10 tips on how to shop for vintage and I gladly accepted to write the article for her.  Rodellee, if you're reading this, thank you so much for asking me to write this article, I got so excited to see my article posted on your website.  I enjoyed writing this article and I absolutely love your website as well as your style :)

Martha Stewart Show

Well, I've been doing my best trying to stick to my new year's resolutions.  However, I've been sick with a bad cold this whole week, meaning I haven't been able to work out.  =\  I really hope I feel better by tomorrow, so I can workout again.  My other resolutions are going fairly well, I just need to be patient (mind you I can be very impatient at times, but I am very good at hiding it until I go crazy haha!)

I called in sick for two days and had to try to make myself feel better on Wednesday because I went to the Martha Stewart Show with my sister, mother & my brother-in-law's mom in the city.  For some weird reason my mother thought it was filmed in Connecticut when in reality it's filmed in New York.  I think she thought it was filmed in Connecticut since Martha lives in Connecticut. LOL Oh the things my mother says sometimes, well all the time haha!  We had a lot of fun and right next door was the Tyra Banks show.  Let me tell you, you can definitely tell the difference between Martha's viewers and Tyra's viewers. haha Tyra's viewers were either wearing tacky shoes or trying too hard to look good on TV.  Meanwhile, Martha's viewers were older and mothers hehe*

Here are pictures that I took before and after the show:

I adore Martha's art & crafts corner! I absolutely love it!

The show was based on what to cook or prepare for a superbowl party.  Thankfully, we didn't have to wear jerseys and I don't even watch nor like football.  We were seated all the way at the top/back.  Oh well, we got free stuff and was able to see the mayhem that goes on behind the scenes when they go to a commercial break.

Our freebies included:
  • Traveling Radio:  It's valued at $200.  I'm not exactly sure why it would cost $200 when it looks like a regular radio.  Oh well, free radio haha
  • $50 Gift Card to Dick's Sporting Goods:  I guess I'll use it to purchase workout clothes.
  • Emeril Lagassee's knife:  Ooo! My first kitchen knife! :)
  • NFL Cookbook:  I skimmed through it and there are some recipes I would like to try out.
I kept checking the screen to see if we got on TV and I only saw us for a quick second when the camera was filming across the audience.  Hopefully, I got my 1 minute of TV appearance haha!  The episode I went to will be aired on Friday, January 30.  Don't miss it, you might see me! :)

Lazy Sundays

I hope everyone enjoyed the holidays.  I know I did and was able to relax and be on vacation for once.  It's a brand new year which means, it's time for a list of a few of my new year's resolutions:
  • Workout everyday for 45 minutes:  I am doing very well & determined.
  • Eating healthy = diet ugh!
  • Etsy website:  in progress.
  • Write in this blog at least once or twice a week:  Sorry I've neglected you my precious blog ;\
I am only listing a few of my goals because I believe if I list all of them here for everyone to see then it will never get accomplished.  Plus, I want to keep some of my goals/resolutions on the hush hush until I am pleased with the results :)

Anyhow, during the holidays I did major shopping for myself, which I haven't done in a while.  Therefore, my goal is to not shop for a whole month.   I'll see if I can survive. hahaha  I went shopping at Forever21 and I absolutely love their Twelve by Twelve collection.  It definitely has a vintage feel.  Here are some of my favorite pictures from their website:

Love it!F21
Some of my purchases during the holiday:
Vintage Camera Photo Album
Owling Sake PotSATC Movie bookMirror, Mirror Jewelbox
The Owl Teapot & Vintage Camera Photo Album are from Anthropologie.  The Mirror Jewelbox and SATC Movie book are from Urban Outfitters.  Well, that's all for now.  Toodaloo! :P

Dear Diary...

In late September or early in October, I cannot exactly remember when, I did a photo shoot with my good friend Hala, owner of Hala Vintage and the model in the photos below. I work at her store on the weekend and she asked if I could be the stylist, of course I said YES! hehe* I had so much fun styling my first photo shoot, I think I burned so many calories just from laughing with everyone and running back & forth to get the stuff from the car HAHA :) By the way, Hala, if you happen to read this, thank you again, I had a blast being the stylist for your photoshoot, love ya girlfriend! ;P  Here are a few of the photos, enjoy!
